ALPHA SI has an hardware department to provide a complete service to its clients. We design and develop electronic boards and custom systems, such as test benches and test equipment.

Our hardware design and development services include the design of electronic boards for microcontroller-based embedded systems (e.g., STM, PIC, etc.) or SoM (Olimex, Engicam, Variscite, Raspberry).

We handle the design process from schematics to PCB layout, as well as the management of prototyping and pre-series production.

We create custom hardware systems to support production processes, such as test benches or maintenance equipment. We handle the entire design process, from selecting COTS components to developing custom electronics and wiring.

Rapid Prototyping

ALPHA SI has a rapid prototyping lab used to independently assemble prototype boards of medium complexity. We are equipped with a NeoDen stencil printer, Fortex manual pick-and-place, and a Bungard reflow oven.

Triangulation Laser Controller

Microcontroller board (STM32) for controlling a laser measurement instrument. The board manages two Micro-Epsilon triangulation lasers, a lithium battery charger, and a quadrature encoder.

Radar Test Equipment

Test and testing equipment for naval radar processor. ALPHA SI handled the entire design and production cycle of the unit, meeting the client’s requirements in terms of functionality, performance, budget, and delivery time.

Expansion Board

Expansion board for Raspberry Pi 4. The board includes an STM32 microcontroller, RS422 transceiver, RS485 transceiver, PHT sensor (pressure, humidity, and temperature), 4 opto-isolated inputs for proximity, and two inputs for quadrature encoders.

IoT BOARD

Carrier board for Olimex A13 SoM. The board includes a controller for a touch display, a connector for a PCI Express 4G module (including a SIM card slot), digital I/O, and analog inputs.
